Grey Squirrel's Winter Dinner

It is late winter, and the best of the hawthorn's berries have been gathered by the birds already. What remained on the hawthorn bushes beside the Weaver at the Witton flashes looked rather dry and shrivelled.

Still, it seemed that they were a good enough meal to this squirrel. As I approached, he remained unconcerned, continuing to feed on the berries for a good ten minutes.
